The Filipino-American National Historical Society (FANHS) Bay Area Consortium is proud
to announce that on August 9th and 10th, 2008 the Consortium in association with
the San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center (SFFCC) and Señor Blues Productions will present
the 1st Annual San Francisco Filipino-American Jazz Festival. It will be held at
Yerba Buena Gardens during the day as part of the 15th Annual San Francisco Pistahan
Parade and Festival of the Arts. In the evenings, the Jazz Festival will be held indoors
at the Metreon Theater, located in Yerba Buena Gardens.

On August 9th and 10th, Yerba Buena Gardens in Downtown San Francisco will be hosting
Pistahan, a Filipino-American Arts Exhibition. The annual festival will run from 11AM to 6PM on
the Esplanade Gardens will feature displays, crafts, food, and entertainment in the tardition of
Filipino culture and cuisine. This is a guaranteed perfect day at the park for families.
The parade and festival, organized by the Filipino American Arts Exposition (FAAE), is a two-day
celebration that features artists and various cultural activities such as the film festival Sine
Sine and a community parade. Also featured are booths exhibiting authentic Filipino food and
delicacies, artwork, games, music, and dance. This year's special added attraction will be
part of the 1st Annual San Francisco Filipino-American Jazz Festival.
