Myrna Del Rio comes from the windy city of Chicago, Il. Growing up on the city's West Side, she and her fellow church choir members participated in all-city competitions that often pitted them against Chicago's most talented young Gospel Performers. Comfortable singing in both English, Spanish, as well as other languages, Ms. Del Rio is a show-stopping singer capable of delivering heart-felt ballads and or blues that really swing. She was a featured vocalist in the renowned drummer Francis Clay's band Syncopation and in Domingo & Friends, a popular Rhythm & Blues and Soul band which performed at the San Francisco Black and White Ball along with Sugar Pie DeSanto.

Ms. Del Rio was a sensation at the 3rd Festival Internacional de Jazz in Villahermosa, Tabasco in Mexico and received rave reviews in the press. She appears on Carlos Zialcita's CD Evolution and is currently working on her first CD release that she recorded with musicians from Mexico and the United States. She returned this summer to Mexico to perform at the 2nd Jazz Lass Casas Festival in San Cristobal de las Casas. Her vocal duets with Carlos Zialcita have earned them the nickname the "the Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme of the blues". Catch Ms. Del Rio - as she brings down the house everytime she performs!
